DC HORROR PRESENTS THE CONJURING THE LOVER #1 (OF 5) CVR A BILL SIENKIEWICZ

DC Horror Presents: The Conjuring: The Lover#1 by David L. Johnson-McGoldrick

The terrifying debut of the tie-in to The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It begins here, with a story that’s bursting at the seams with clues about the new film. Meet Jessica. Jessica just returned to her freshman year of college after winter break, bringing with her the anxieties of last semester’s poor grades, the awkwardness of facing a boy she wishes she’d never slept with, and an undeniably unnerving feeling of being watched. She soon comes to realize that something evil made her its target, and it will not rest until it has her in its unholy grip. But why did this sinister presence set its sights on a seemingly normal college freshman? Read this nerve-racking tale, creepily crafted by Conjuring screenwriter David L. Johnson-McGoldrick and Rex Ogle with heart-stopping art from Garry Brown and chill-inducing covers by Bill Sienkiewicz, to find out!

Tom Hiddleston as Loki

Plot:

After Loki steals and disappears with the Tesseract during the destruction of Asgard (Avengers: Endgame), he is killed by Thanos. However, an alternate version of Loki is brought to the mysterious ‘Time Variance Authority (TVA)’, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. They give Loki a choice: face being erased from existence and history forever due to him now being a "time variant", or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat. Loki agrees to travel through time to alter human history by undoing the disturbances he caused during his escape from Asgard.

Other cast members include Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant.

Tesseract, a crystalline cube-shaped containment vessel for the Space Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones that predate the universe and possess unlimited energy. It was used by various ancient civilizations before coming into Asgardian hands, kept inside Odin's Vault. Eventually, it was brought to Earth and left in Tønsberg, where it was guarded by devout Asgardian worshipers. - Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki

'The Boys' Has A New Superhero

Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy on Amazon Prime original series The Boys.

That’s right as announced last year, Supernatural's Jensen Ackles has joined the cast of Amazon Prime original series, The Boys.

According to Variety:

“Ackles steps into the third season of the comic book-inspired drama as the original superhero, created by Compound V in the 1940s. He fought in World War II (killing German soldier by the dozen, it has been said) and then became the first super celebrity and a mainstay of American culture. In the comics, he was the leader of Payback, the second-strongest superhero team behind the Seven. (Though it should be noted he always wanted to join the Seven and mistakenly thought sleeping with Homelander was a test before being allowed to join.)

When it comes to Soldier Boy’s abilities, he is strong and agile, able to dodge bullets and blows equally easily. He also has a shield that he uses as a weapon, which has been incorporated into Ackles’ costume.”

“The Boys” series creator and showrunner Eric Kripke previously called Soldier Boy “mostly just kind of bumbling and subserviant to Homelander”

Jensen Ackles will begin his run as the out of time WWII Soldier Boy during upcoming third season of The Boys later this year.

‘The Boys’ main cast includes Karl Urban , Jack Quaid , Antony Starr and Erin Moriarty.

More series news:

The G-Men spin-off centered on a superhero college and a parody of the X-Men. Cast includes Reina Hardesty, Lizze Broadway, Jaz Sinclair, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, and Maddie Phillips.
