As I was
preparing to update this site today, I happen to see Dark Horse Comics' advertisement
for their newest issue of Alien vs. Predator: Life and Death #4 and Aliens: Defiance #10. These comic books
made me wonder if the main character, Ellen Ripley, from the Aliens quadrilogy films
was ever featured in comic form.
Low and behold, I discovered "Aliens
vs. Predator vs. The Terminator", Dark Horse Comics' four-part comic book
series featuring Ridley and a whole host of other characters, not only from Aliens,
but as the titles suggest, Predator and The Terminator as well. I am a great fan of all of these movie
franchises, and the Aliens film quadrilogy is my favorite of the three.
.
I love the character of Ridley, so naturally, I want
to discover how she fares in this strangely put
together crossover series,
which appears to be a chaotic mix at best. This being the case, I will hold
back on my review of this comic collection until I have read each from
beginning to end.
However, if you are also a diehard Alien fan, and you
have never read the comics, below is a link for your own reading enjoyment courtesy
of ReadComicOnline.to.

Main

This comic book collection begins some time after the
crash of the spaceship, Auriga, on earth from the film Aliens: Resurrection featuring
the clone Ridley 8. John Connor from the Terminator movies also makes appearances.
But, to answer my question: Was there ever a comic featuring
Ripley and the Aliens? The answer would be no, because the real Ellen Ripley was
long dead by the time Ripley 8 came along.
